The Eastwood TG1800 Tungsten Grinder sharpens 1/16-inch and 3/32-inch tungsten electrodes to a consistent point, helping produce a more stable arc and cleaner TIG welds than a bench grinder typically allows. A 1.8-amp motor drives the 1-inch diamond grinding wheel across a variable speed range of 0 to 40,000 RPM.
Built-in guide angles of 10 degrees and 22.5 degrees make it straightforward to reproduce the same tungsten point every time, helping reduce arc wander and inconsistent penetration caused by an unevenly ground electrode.
