The Eastwood CONTOUR SCT is a heavy-duty surface conditioning tool built for stripping paint, rust, and body filler, then conditioning the metal underneath so it's ready for paint. With the right accessory drum, it can also buff metal to a mirror finish, making it a multi-purpose tool for auto body and metal fabrication work.
A 9-amp, ball-bearing supported motor and hardened spur gears drive the tool smoothly, while a 6-position speed control lets you dial in the RPM, from 1,000 to 3,700, for the task at hand. The ergonomic in-line design keeps the drum turning without adding excess torque load or heat into the metal, unlike offset-style conditioning tools.
Safety features include a drum guard enclosure and a rigidly mounted "D" handle for secure control during use. The tool ships with a 4" x 4", 120-grit non-woven nylon drum already installed and is backed by a 3-year warranty.
